Riposte X COS

Riposte collaborated with COS on the launch of their White Shirt Project. The white shirt is a style icon but it is also the ultimate blank canvas upon which we project our own fantasies and personalities. Adaptable and versatile, it allows anyone who wears it to tell their own story, to make their own mark.

To celebrate the new COS collection Riposte brought together a line-up of people who have made an impression in the art, culture, design and publishing worlds. We delved into their fascinating careers, how they got to where they are and discussed their personal style - in particular, their own relationship with the classic, crisp white shirt.

The people included in the project were Caryn Franklin, curator Zoe Whitley, writer Emma Dabiri and editor of Mundial Dan Sandison. For the project Riposte conducted interviews with each of our chosen talent, we worked with photographer Flora Maclean to capture portraits and designed a special ten-page editorial that featured in the pages of Riposte #11 and online.

To accompany the editorial project we also curated a series of events in COS stores in London, Paris and Stockholm. Each event brought together a panel of fascinating women from the different cities who each discussed their own style, careers and relationship with the white shirt in front of a specially invited audience.
